The morning and afternoon weightings have predicted a new champion on Maconka, and the 2nd and 3rd places assured to the teams currently occupying them. Places 4-10 were fought for, as the 50-60 kg differences could easily be overcome during a few hours, if the wind or the weather changes. The dam area has started working again.

This can be seen at the PVTV Romania team, in sector E, who have stopped angling at long distances and have stopped the fish at around 50-60 meters from them, with lots of seeds and other food. The grass carp are parking in front of them in large numbers, and they are geting caught by Peter Micula and his team. In addition to this, they have landed the biggest fish so far, an 15.85 kg mirror carp. If they can keep this going, they have a good chance of geting 4th or 5th or 6th overall, and a sure chance at becoming sector winners.

We will see how long they can keep it up. News from 10+ catches are coming in constantly. The Carping Club 2, also in deep water zone, is suffering from fishlesness, but yesterday evening was very strong for them. Several 4-5 kg carp were caught, a 10 kg one was landed during the day, and they had a 14+ in the evening.

All the island teams are having a great time. Average and big carp are landed regularly, and some grass carp to boot. It seems the colder weather has stopped any breeding plans the carp had, and they are back to eating and geting caught.

The back area is silent. Tata Nitu carp team hasn’t had anything decent to weight, apart from a few carp, in the past two days. The first place was taken over by the Halzona team, who were overtaken by the Spro guys. Garai Peti’s team is catching carp regularly, they are 40 k’s ahead of the slovakian team.

And the two times world champion has stopped angling at midnight, as is his tradition. It remains to be seen, if his advice and feeding stuff mixed by him will be enough for his team to keep the third place.

The german Anaconda team is only a few kg’s behind them, and thats not a big difference. The first professional boilie cup ends at midday, and only the first two places seem assured.
