I.St International professional boilie cup Maconka – Final Result

Yesterdays colder weather could still be felt during the morning hours. Both on the competitors and on the fish. The dam area had perhaps more 10+ kg fish on this morning alone, then the whole event so far.

It would take a lot of time to describe how much time the scales spent at the teams, let us just say, the colder weather has performed magic.

The 31 teams have competed under new rules, on a new lake. Let us hope that this 115 event is the first in a series of future events. SOme teams might be leaving dissapointed, as they didn’t have the chance to sit on a place where they could have had a chance of winning the event, or finishing in a decent position. But tha1s what happens at a competition, some win, some don’t.

You can’t have 31 1st positions.

The greatest battles during the last hours were fought for the sector winner positions. As the large fish started arriving everywhere, the teams were counting their chances. But they didn’t receive any information on how the other teams were doing, to make the event more exciting.

There is a team that has made it’s medal collection complete on this event. Last year they finished second, then third, and now they have won. The Spro Carp Fun Boilie Team are the winners of the XVI. Maconka International Cup, and the 1st Professional European Boilie Cup

The Slovakian Halzona team finished second, and the german Anaconda team became third.

Largest fish was caught by PVTV Romania Team, who have had a bad start, but a strong finish.

The teams have 5 and a half tough and tiring days behind them. This new event, this new brand, is excellent and more then capable of continuing to keep up the good the name of the Maconka events.

We hope that the foreign teams will take word to their countries about the excellent organisation of the event, and that we will meet Europes best boilie anglers on a similiar but even larger event in August.
